Marissa's Closet helps disadvantaged girls attend prom by providing dresses, accessories and even tickets. It was founded by high school senior Marissa MacLeod and is now run in her memory by her mother.
When we learned about this charity, we just knew we had to help! In addition to donating new bags from our collection, Minx Los Feliz is sponsoring a donation drive to collect gently used evening bags for Marissa's Closet. Join us in our donation drive! The person who donates the most evening bags that can be sent on to the charity will win the fabulous new Minx Los Feliz Coochette Studded Crossbody bag pictured above!
The Rules
- Collect all of the gently used evening bags from your stash, your friends and family and send them to Minx Los Feliz for donation to Marissa's Closet.
- Donation packages must be RECEIVED by Minx Los Feliz no later than Friday June 11, 2010. Packages received after the due date will be forwarded to the charity but will not count toward the contest.
- In your package with the bags, on a sheet of paper printed legibly, include:
- • Your full name
- • U.S. address you would like the prize shipped to (Minx pays for the shipping too!)
- • Phone number (to be used only in case of shipping problems or questions regarding the donation)
All personal information will be used solely for the contest and will be destroyed following the award of the prize.

- All bags will be examined, counted and then forwarded to Marissa's Closet. Bags that are not "formal wear" appropriate or that are considered too damaged to send on will not be counted toward the prize and will not be returned to the sender. All submissions of bags are final and considered donated – inappropriate and or damaged bags will be disposed of or donated to another charity at the sole discretion of Minx Los Feliz.
- The winner will be announced on the Minx Los Feliz Facebook page by the end of the day on June 25, 2010. The prize will be shipped to the winner by June 30, 2010. All decisions regarding the winner will be final.
- No purchase necessary. Contest is open to all legal residents of the United States.
